Amber Beaded Necklace with Mayan Chachal Bird. Mexican Amber

This is a stunning necklace of graduated hand-shaped pieces of rondelle shaped Mexican amber. The clasp is a sterling silver hook and the necklace is strung on a silk cord. These are highly polished and beautiful beads.

Mexican amber is among the rarest and highest qualities of amber in the world. The amber is of a long extinct species of tree and is probably about 25 million years old.
