This is a stunning bracelet of exquisite large exceptionally high grade hand-shaped pieces of yellow Mexican amber. The bracelet is strung on very strong elastic cord. The amber is natural and untreated The width is 12" and it weighs about 75 g.
Mexican amber is among the rarest and highest qualities of amber in the world. The amber is of a long extinct species of tree and is probably about 25 million years old.

These earrings are an homage to corn! Mexicans call themselves the "children of corn," descendants of people whose religious pantheon included three corn gods. Cornstalks were common patterns in ancient Mexican art and persist today in popular art. Between the Guatemalan and U.S. borders grow at least 32 varieties of corn, each with various sub-varieties, developed in response to climate and soil differences.
