This is a stunning necklace of large hand-shaped pieces of Mexican amber. The heart pendant is made of barro negro from San Bartolo, Oaxaca. It is an element of a Cruz de Yalalag, an indigenous spiritual symbol. The silver flower bead is an antique Berber piece and the tassel is a vintage tassel traditionally used in the attire of the people of Zinacantan, Chiapas. The clasp is sterling silver. and the necklace is strung on a heavy silk cord.
