This is an old authentic (not produced for tourists and worn by naga people) necklace from Nagaland in Northeastern India. Beautiful deep blue colored glass trade beads! This necklace has about 54 strands with a wonderful beaded pattern at the closure. The closure is a very old Indian coin.
This necklace is in very good, sturdy condition to be worn or collected.

Nagaland is home to some of the most amazing tribal dress. The Naga people practiced headhunting through the 1900s and may still in parts of Burma! Do a google image search for Naga people for a visual feast.
These are becoming increasingly rare and hard to find.
