These vibrant little treasures come from the Costa Chica of Oaxaca, Mexico. The Afro-Mexican roots of the people there are reflected in the craft and dress. These are cut and carved from painted gourds. This type of work is a particular specialty of the region. We have fitted these with handmade sterling silver ear wires.
These look fabulous on. They have great movement, beautiful color and form and are light as a feather to wear. About 3.25 inches long Approx 7 grams.

Beautiful necklace of Guatemalan jade and guatemalita, designed as replicas of old beads worn by Frida Kahlo. Sterling silver hook closure. The beads are primarily guatemalita, a jadeite indigenous only to Guatemala, and its accented with a few pieces of Guatemalan jade.
