A gorgeous handwoven huipil from the town of San Bartolo Yautepec on the coast of Oaxaca of hand spun cotton. Truly masterful weaving and a very special garment. Huipiles from this region are very difficult to come by. The thread used to weave the garment by hand is also hand-dyed and hand-spun. This huipil is a masterpiece of an accomplished artisan.
This one has these measurements: Chest 22" Length 25.5" The brown of the huipil is created using a plant dye made from mangrove trees.

Wonderful hand-embroidered dress from Uzbekistan. The cut is perfect and the embroidery is fabulous. A really nice quality of velvet. Probably rayon but nice enough that it may have silk content (Uzbekistan makes beautiful silk velvet. The perfect cool weather dress. Long sleeves and the generous cut allows for layers underneath. Could also be worn as a tunic with pants underneath.
