Mayan Multistrand Glass Necklace. Guatemalan.

These are old necklaces from the mountains of Guatemala. Each has obviously been restrung many times keeping the old beads and supplementing with new beads. The colors are wonderful and they are strung with real artistry.

I believed these to be glass but I was told that they are made of some kind of synthetic crystal.
