This wrap and/or wrap skirt is a fine example of a Colotenango corte. This classic circa 1980 example was back strap loomed in two well matched all cotton panels. The supplemental weft decoration features bands of chevrons, universal diamonds, zigzags, corn plants and other geometric motifs. This is one of the best pieces I've seen. And the color palette is vibrant and beautiful.
This is great warm or cool weather wraps. It is great with a tie belt, please convo me if you are interested in one!
The piece measures 39 x 95 inches. This is a large one with wonderful and unusual earth tone embroidery.
Wonderful gauze dress from Oaxaca. The color is a slate grey-blue. Hand-dyed. I have this dress in three colors! Love it. 31" width across the chest x 48" length. The model is 5' 7" and not wearing shoes. Fits up to size XL
