Patzún daily huipil. This post-1980 daily huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two “aleman” panels – a combination of cotton and rayon prized for its softness and drape. The panels are joined by hand embroidered decorative seams and feature extensive hand embroidered decoration in the floral motif. It is in very good condition.

These are great year round. In the winter I wear them over a light sweater and they are super cozy.

This is huipil made from an older pre 1980s Chichicastenango huipil and natural silk velvet. Absolutely phenomenal color way! The huipil is a now rare wool embroidered piece. These are no longer produced in this region.

This poncho come from the Highlands of Chiapas, a village called San Andres Larrainzar. Not a traditional garment but a completely fabulous modern design using the traditional San Andres Larrainzar style of weaving. Wonderful color way.
