This is a perfectly wonderful vintage textile from Mali. This amazingly soft handwoven cotton (this one feels like cashmere) textile has been woven strips of various shades of indigo and sewn together to form this wrap. A beautiful color and beautiful composition. Wonderful drape.
It measures 41" long and 60" from armhole to armhole.
As, I mentioned these are truly vintage and it is typical for them to come well worn, it is part of what makes them special.
This is huipil made from an older pre 1980s Chichicastenango huipil and natural silk velvet. Absolutely phenomenal color way! The huipil is a now rare wool embroidered piece. These are no longer produced in this region.

The cost of the dress is just enough to cover the materials, the labor that went into it and the fees to sell it.
This poncho come from the Highlands of Chiapas, a village called San Andres Larrainzar. Not a traditional garment but a completely fabulous modern design using the traditional San Andres Larrainzar style of weaving. Wonderful color way.
