A very wonderful and unusual Nahuala huipil. An all-cotton handwoven base with extensive hand embroidered brocade. The motif is are universal diamonds, diamonds that represent the universe. This fine example is in very good condition.
Please note some very light colored marks on the white base and a very small hole under the armpit.
measures W32 x L29 inches.
These are great year round. In the winter They can be worn over a light sweater and are very cozy.

This is huipil made from an older pre 1980s Chichicastenango huipil and natural silk velvet. Absolutely phenomenal color way! The huipil is a now rare wool embroidered piece. These are no longer produced in this region.

This poncho come from the Highlands of Chiapas, a village called San Andres Larrainzar. Not a traditional garment but a completely fabulous modern design using the traditional San Andres Larrainzar style of weaving. Wonderful color way.
