Fabulous traditional Solola jacket. These are not made in this style and quality anymore and I only found a handful on the last trip they are rare and expensive to get. I may not be able to get anymore of them. Handwoven soft ikat cotton and applique with rick rack. A nice and stylish cut. size is w 25 x l 26 inches. Would fit a up to a size large, the model is a size S top.
These are great year round. In the winter I wear them over a light sweater and they are very cozy.
Wonderful shawl from Chamula, Chiapas. This garment is handwoven from the little sheep that are raised in small flocks there, spun on small top style spindles and then hand embroidered. In addition to looking great it is warm and super practical. We love a poncho.
The wool that goes to make this shawls is raised locally and spun on small top style spindles. This was purchased from the woman that made it.
This is a gorgeous handwoven huipil from the Costa Chica of Oaxaca. The huipil is woven of soft hand spun cotton. The beautiful blue color is made from a a natural indigo dye. Huipiles from this region are difficult to come by and this is a fabulous example.
This was purchased from the artisan at asking price.
