A gorgeous ceremonial huipil from Tecpan, Guatemala. A motif of flowers with the universal diamond and birds. These special huipiles are worn for occasions like weddings. The entire garment is cotton, unusual for these now. The piece is in very good vintage condition. The size is about W 31 x L 27 inches.
These are great year round. In the winter I wear them over a light sweater and they are cozy.
Gorgeous handmade and embroidered skirts from the Rabari tribe of Northern India. Very fine and expertly embroidered with cotton embroidery floss. Each of them has been made with such love and attention, representing weeks of work. The price does not reflect the value of these in my opinion.
These are from a tribe in Gujarat, India where the most festive and beautiful embroidery comes from.
