Wonderful hand-embroidered dress from the Balochi people of Afghanistan. These take about two months of daily work to produce. The cut is perfect and the embroidery is fabulous. The ultimate boho dress!
The base is a very silky buttery satin, a nice quality fabric.
These dresses are works of art that have been worn by Balochi women in their daily lives. Some come with little burn holes, pulled seams or discoloration. They are fabulous pieces and are fabulously underpriced for the work and skill that they represent. Any major issues will be documented in the photos and reflected in the price.
This one has two burn holes, on on each arm under the wrist area. We can patch these for you for a small additional fee to cover the labor.
41" long and 18" wide across the chest under the armpits. Goes on over the head.
