Vintage Xela Guatemalan Huipil. Hand-Woven & Embroidered

This large huipil was hand woven on a back-strap loom in 3 cotton base panels embroidered with bird designs. The seams where the panels are joined with decorative embroidery. It has a well done embroidered collar that has been opened for easier access. This fine example is in very good condition

size is w 35.5 x l 27.5 inches

These are great year round. In the winter I wear them over a light sweater and they are very cozy.
