As crystals, hypersthene forms as thin plates, masses, tabular and prismatic crystals. Generally it is has a brown color but can also have a gray, green or black color. It's unique in that it exhibits pleochroic properties and this means that it can have different colors depending on how you look at it.

While it's flash appears similar to Labradorite and it is also known as Velvet Labradorite, it is not a variety of Labradorite.

Hypersthene is beneficial during meditation, allowing you to reach a state of tranquility and calm so that you can connect with higher realms and receive guidance. It also helps you to achieve a state of flow for manifestation.
