This is a stunning necklace of exquisite large hand-shaped pieces of Mexican amber. The heart pendant is made of barro negro from San Bartolo, Oaxaca. It is a handmade heart of black clay. The clasp is sterling silver. and the necklace is strung on a heavy silk cord.

Length is 18".

Mexican amber is among the rarest and highest qualities of amber in the world. The amber is of a long extinct species of tree and is probably about 25 million years old.
