This is an old authentic (not produced for tourists and worn by naga people) necklace from Nagaland in Northeastern India. Beautiful red glass trade beads to such a stunning and lovely effect! This necklace has a wonderful beaded pattern at the closure. The closure is a carved shell button.

Nagaland is home to some of the most amazing tribal dress. The Naga people practiced headhunting through the 1900s and may still in parts of Burma! Do a google image search for Naga people for a visual feast.
