Barro Negro Beaded Necklace Sphere Pendant. Vintage Zinacantan Tassel

This is a stunning necklace of large hand-shaped beads made of barro negro from San Bartolo, Oaxaca. The pendant is a thick hollow sphere accented by a large piece of Tibetan turquoise. The sterling silver “manos” or hands clasp is an antique Mexican piece and the tassel is a vintage tassel traditionally used in the attire of the people of Zinacantan, Chiapas.

The length is 28” around.
