Huge Amber Beaded Necklace. Mexican Amber. Dramatic All Natural Beauty!

This is an absolutely magnificent necklace of graduated hand shaped pieces of Mexican amber.

The weight is 490g. This is an enormous amount of amber and large pieces. I bought these beads several years ago and have been resistant to letting them go because beads of this size are very difficult and cost prohibitive to buy now because of social changes and scarcity of amber.

Mexican amber is among the rarest and highest qualities of amber in the world. The amber is of a long extinct species of tree and is probably about 25 million years old.

The total length of the necklace is 23" but it doesn't fit like most necklaces of that length because of the width of the beads.
