This scarf is woven and dyed by 10th generation weavers in Gujarat. Masters of their trade, they have been repeatedly invited to participate in the Santa Fe International Folk Market. After weaving and dying the scarves are sent to a nearby Rabari village for their very skilled and distinctive embroidery work.
The wool is from the only variety of sheep that thrive in the climate of Gujarat.
These are great for cool weather or as a striking wall hanging or throw.
