Nasavi Mixteco Huipil with Animals. Handwoven in Guerrero, Mexico. 0568

This is a gorgeous handwoven huipil from the Mixtec of Guerrero, Mexico. Until recently I had never seen huipiles of this tradition. Huipiles from this region are difficult to come by. The motif is an extraordinarily vibrant thought os as the plumed serpent.

This was purchased from the artisan at asking price.
