Vintage Churrancho Ceremonial Hand-Woven Guatemalan Huipil

A stunning Churrancho huipil! Hand woven on a backstrap loom in two well matched cotton base panels that are joined by hand embroidered decorative seams. The surface decoration is supplementary brocade featuring various zoomorphic motifs. Circa 1990.

A very fine example in excellent condition.

This is a ceremonial huipil with a wonderful feel and drape.

The colors are wonderfully vibrant.

50 in wide x 2y in length

These are great year round. In the winter they can be worn over a light sweater and are cozy.
