This is a perfectly wonderful handmade textile from Madagascar. Soft hand-spun, hand-dyed and handwoven raw silk textiles produced from silkworm pods raised on a small scale by the artisans. Spectacular colors and wonderful drape. These make great wraps. They work well as big scarf or hood I have several of these and each is slightly different so check out this section of my shop for more, to compare.
A gorgeous vintage handwoven huipil from the Costa Chica of Oaxaca, home to an Afro-Mexican culture. The huipil is handwoven of soft hand spun cotton hand embroidered with the traditional double headed eagle and rooster motif. Huipiles from this region are difficult to come by and this is a terrific example.
Please note that there has been a small amount of bleeding of the pink color of the embroidery to the base. It is light and not noticeable but I have accounted for it in the price.
This one has these measurements: Chest 25" Length 40.5"
