Vintage Guatemalan Huipil. San Juan Atitan. Hand-Woven & Embroidered

Wonderful San Juan Atitlan huipil. This is from my own collection. Hand woven and thickly embroidered with several techniques. This is the most beautiful example from this area that I have seen. The last photo shows where reinforcements have been done to the inside. Some of the white stripes were threadbare from use.

Size is width 33 x length 39 inches

These are great year round. In the winter I wear them over a light sweater and they are very cozy!

These make great wall hangings.
