Wonderful vintage Mayan Huipiles from Oxchuc, Chiapas. Incredible modern color palette on an very old and traditional design. A wonderful piece. Lots of hand embroidery. This one is interestingly kind of a hybrid huipil between the Oxchuc huipil and the huipil of the neighboring town of Cancuc. The base is the classic Oxchuc base but the the embroidery resembles that of Cancuc.
